We need a top quality striker, someone who can score week in, week out. We create lots of chances, Bellamy caused havoc for them today, but still missed a ton of chances. Kuyt works his arse off but looks out of touch in front of goal. Stevie for me has not been in top form this season, but that will return. The sad thing is apart from maybe Finnan and Bellamy, I cant say anyone else had a good game.

Don't get me wrong - I like him. He's a decent player, good at most things. But crucially, he's exceptional at nothing. We need better.

I really disagree with that.

Ok, the guy missed a good chance today, and was generally poor. But he has been superb in some games this season, hell, just look at Morse's player of the season table.

He is better than Crouch.

The problem with Kuyt IMO is that Rafa plays him to deep. He plays more like an attacking midfielder than a striker.

Play him as a striker and he will score more goals.

Couldn't agree more mate. Lets face it, Kuyt works his nuts off but at the very highest level is limited. Look at the top 4's main strikers, Rooney, Drogba, Henry & Kuyt. 3 of the world's best & by comparison, 1 very ordinary player. if we are to compete for the title, we need more quality up front. i'm afraid a striking force of Kuyt, Bellamy & Crouch is way short of the required standard.

Mate he misses gilt-edged chances virtually every week. All strikers do, I know, but he misses more than most. Too many.

I'm sorry but we have far FAR bigger problems than Kuyt. The guy gives 110% every single game and has been instrumental in all our good performances this season. I'd like to see him finish more consistently, but he's a consumate pro who has scored goals his whole career and I believe.. no, I know he will only get better.
