Post match wash-up/reaction/moan thread

Not gonna blame Gerrard or any individual but ffs we never look like getting back into a game when we concede, no-one seems to be able to take responsibility and order people about, we just look incapable of creating chances and really uping the tempo when we need to.

Ok it could be down to a lack of quality in some areas but we have the players to get us back into games - Bellamy, Kuyt, Gerrard to name but a few, we just lack belief and fight which is very disappointing.

Gutted once again, miserable, miserable day.

Leadership has got nothing to do with missing clear cut chances.

we created the chances but couldnt take them

on a soggy pitch we didnt have enough left at the end to come back from 2-1 down

Shocking finishing as per usual from both Bellamy & Kuyt. we should have won confoertably but if you miss chances you get punished. kuyt in particular is a poor finisher & today he missed a sitter. add to that another Reina blip & a dodgy pen, it was so typical of so many away games. Finally to cap it all 2 baffling Rafa subs late on.

In reality we are some way behind the top 2 teams. 16 points says it all. away from home we are very mediocre and whatever cash Rafa splashes in the summer this deficiency must be addressed.

We lost this game because of arrogance all round. Firstly if we are moving forward why is Zenden even being considered. He strolled around the pitch today with no urgency and offered nothing. How Riise is still getting a game is beyond me. He was rubbish again today. Wild shooting when a pass would be better, and a lazy challenge to concede a penalty. Bellamy may have scored but him and Kuyt missed many chances. Kuyt works hard but gave the ball away a lot. Momo won the ball a lot but we really missed Xabi. And when we had 20 minutes to rescue it we got.....Guthrie and Arbeloa?? Hardly game changing subs!! Crouch would at least have offered something. The blame lis squarely with the manager for this defeat. Not ruthless enough. Last week and this Rafa has shown an astonishing inability to change to a plan B. Arrogance and a seventh away defeat.

Kuyt isn't as good as most Reds seem to think he is. He is a poor finisher. Some would have us believe he's a level up from Crouch - "yeah we need AN Other to play up with Kuyt".
