Thanjk you.

' He has football in his blood ' said a scout who was trying sell a player to Liverpool. ' You may be right ' Shanks said, ' but it hasn't reached his legs yet '
pennant was outstanding in the 2nd half when he had a target to aim at in the box.
when we play crouch up front ,the other players know hes going to get the headers or knockdowns so they get closer to him,and that brings more players into the box etc etc
gives us more options for our crossers.
last 5 mins there was a moment where gonzales whipped in a ball from the left just after pennant had whipped one in from the right, looking foward to seeing plenty of that this year.
The new signings played very well Pennant, bellamy and speedy, but, gerrard, xabi,JAR all seemed well off the pace,I hope there is no injuries ahead of the match for sunday
Pennant - Looked class, willing to take his man on, passed well, tracked back and in the 2nd half put some great crosses in.
Bellamy - Looked a threat with his pace, got in good positions and well taken goal.
Gonzales - only played 10mins, but made a great run for the goal and put an excellent cross in.
Luis garcia and sissoko looked good, while gerrard didnt seem to have a good game, cudnt influence much of the play since he was playing off the striker.
Risse looked well dodgy at times, the Maccabi Haifa winger (not sure what his name was) looked really skillfull.
