And those people had those ideas long before the newspaper reports. Nothing wrong with discussing the ifs and buts...

Exactly, so where do you find a jury without pre conceived ideas - Good or Bad?

Everybody. We look at a situation and have an opinion. Very few will change their original opinion

Well perhaps people opinions will be proved right in this instance and perhaps they wont. The fact is that without knowing fully what has happened we're all obviously going to speculate. To be fair though I doubt we'll ever find out the facts of what's gone on and will rely on drivel from the press to give us a general idea.

I would find it very difficult to find her guilty of anything

                She's in Serious trouble

So far the story does nt look good. One thing I think has been overlooked is that it must be the first time all season Bellamy has been one on one and managed to hit the target. Having seen Riise this season I would say that there was nt much chance of his getting away either.

Of course the story is probably exaggerated but the fact that an incident appears to have taken place and that we will have to spend tomorrow, at least, fielding questions on what went on is nt the preparation we need for a game as big as Wednesday's.

                    Whereas judges don't have preconceptions?

That's a whole other thread and I'm not saying I do or don't agree about jury service - it's totally besides the point IMO. As I said, the vast majority of people on here are not trying to determine innocence/guilt or apportion blame without the facts. They are trying to suss out what different reports are likely to indicate and what the ramifications might be. 'Might' because we all know we are speculating rather than dealing in hard fact. At this point I must wanr you, I'm an argumentative sod who feels he absolutely must make his point all the ****ing time, so please just bear with me

No matter what people say, they still want to know what's in these newspaper reports and they still think to themselves well if such and such is true then this might happen etc. It's totally normal, as long as people realise they're only speculating it's fine.

We're discussing hypotheticals, yes undoubtedly. But it's a bit patronising to presume everyone on here has actually made their minds up about what has happened and who is to blame purely because of these reports. Some might say you're just basing that idea on preconceptions rather than fact.

I think all we'll be able to do about this alleged incident is speculate because I doubt that we'll ever get the facts.

If the club release a statement it will be worded in a way that makes things sound as if the story in the papers has blown the incident out of proportion and that nothing major really happened where as the press will, as they do, blow it way out of proportin. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

If it is true though I think we'll find out all we need to know when the team is announced for Wednesday match.

I can't wait for Wednesday because at least then we'll be able to start talking about football again and not ****e like this.

You may be right Kurt, that's the case with most of these kind of things, and it's probably best for the club that way. This is too big a game for it to be overshadowed by all this. Hopefully anyway because we all just want to look forward to the footy.

Jesus Christ. You give a bunch of spoilt brat millionaires a few drinks and they ALLEGEDLY behave like f*cking animals a week before the United and Barca games.

If this story is true then the perpetrators should be shown the door and I'm sure they will be by Rafa.

I will be waiting a few days to here what the resort and the club say. As players smashing cars, telephone booths, doors and windows and trying to butt a po po but no one arrested? Basically Bellers and Riise had handbags at 5 paces.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The club would have denied everything if nothing had happened.

I think we can be 100% sure that something has happened but we don't know what yet.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

If something has happened then everyone knows what will probably happen anyway. The players involved will be sold in the summer and they will probably not play anymore games for us this season so it's really pointless to discuss the punishments.
