I thought Pennant had a good game. After his initail nerves - he kept looking to JC for instructions in the 1st 10 minutes or so. He is fast and his crossing's good. I think that Mo pippied him to MOM after another great display, Mo's goin to take the world by storm as he grows in stature.

Pennant was easily man of the match. A good first touch, was always dangerous and delivered some good balls into the box. As for his passing being poor thats just boll*x.

as I said Momo was brilliant - pennant for me was MOM as he was our only threat for a lot of the game. He was lively, involved and caused them loads of problems, so much so that they were constantly putting two men on him and he still caused them problems - For his home debut and 1st competitive debut he was brilliant and that for me just tipped it.

I would have to go for either Sissokso or Pennant - Thought all the others just had an average game.

Should start getting some good crosses in this season now we got Gonzales, Pennant and Zenden back - just need that striker to finish em off

I would have to agree with Speedy TBH. I thought certainly in the first half, that Pennants passing was dire. He seemed to warm to the task in the second half and improved, but he certainly misplaced a lot more than 2 passes. He seemed to go for the difficult pass once too often.

That said, he did show glimpses of his brilliance, and i'm very excited about him joining us.

I was watching on the TV, so it's difficult to comment on his of-the-ball contributions.

Momo for me. He looked awesome and really does remind me of Vieira in his prime.

                  Oh, btw, hello everyone

Has to be Pennant for me, that's one of the best debuts I've seen. Confident on the ball, beat his man on many occasions, excellent first touch and helped make the first goal. When the strikers are a yard sharper I think a lot of goals will be scored from his crosses.

Lets hope now Rafa sign Kuyt or Klose whom both are very good in the air. We'll score plenty of goals for sure.

His passing along the floor I thought was poor. He did show some nice touches on the ball though and his crossing was better in the 2nd half. Actually he looked more of a threat when Crouch was on the park.

I'd like him to mix it up a bit though. He just gets it and crosses from deep, i'd like to see him get to the line occassionaly. But it was a decent start, no one in the team really was extra special IMO.
