I know this is an example of me being an uber-pedantic c*nt, but i really hate it when people spell our players' names wrong

It's not as black and white as living up to a specific number of goals, is it...but you'd have to say we'd require him to be scoring significantly more than ten goals a season. He doesn't even have a ratio of one in three, and that's not good enough for a Liverpool striker who plays regularly.

I'm not disputing any of that mate.

I'm just asking what yourself and Jamo would need to see, in order to say "Yep, Bellamy's producing what we want of him, that's good enough for me"

How on earth did you come to that conclusion ?

Crouch had a very average season last year, but this season he's been significantly better, scoring 13 goals already, (he'll end up with 15+) and generally acting as our most dangerous striker. He's our top scorer!

Besides, Crouch hasn't been involved in any late night drinking/golf club attacks either.

Crouch's position in the squad is much, much safer that that of Bellamy, in my opinion.

Crouch has done well this season no doubt our best in stats, but all in all we can have better then him for what he gives us, he misses far far to many changes, heading is crap, holding up the ball is excellent, bringing people into it good. He's causes big problems for some defences but for a big man id like to see more

Great feet but as Paul Merson says "he's a professional footballer he should have" so IMO i would sell Crouch ahead of Bellemy

Firstly, I haven't seen him do anything in the 'big' games, yet.

Secondly and most importantly, his current scoring rate is 1 goal every 4 games. That's utter ****e.

Thirdly, trouble always seems to find him, he had his trial earlier in the season, he's clearly at the heart of this latest 'incident'. I dont like our players being in the media for the wrong reasons.

If we're seriously honest, and talking in the context of a side to win the title, none of our strikers are ultimately good enough.

This is probably true,so thats why i want TOP CLASS strikers coming in no cheap options that can do a job.

This feckon Crow better be an AC Milan Shev or ill be seriously pissed off

I can see one of Bellamy or Crouch leaving this summer.

I hope it's Bellamy.

With Voronin on his way, Kuyt obviously staying and another (hopefully) top notch striker to arrive we've got one too many.

And that's not including Luis Garcia who can play up top, and we've got to ship out Cisse and Pongolle.

I like that fact that our forwards know they can't afford not to produce the goods, otherwise they'll be gone. It's how it used to be.

I dont know why Bellamy gets all this grief and Kuyt who IMO has been a disappointment since he's come to us gets nothing said about him.

He'd want to bucking up his ideas and score goals, maybe if we got two top class wingers the strikers might get more joy
