Trezeguet frustrates me. Every time I see him play he'll be ****, I will inform whoever is in the room of this fact, and then he'll go and bang in the winner. Of course, if he came and did that for us...Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

Benitez names Liverpool's Serie A transfer targets
tribalfooball.com - February 20, 2007
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has revealed he's trawling the Serie A market for a new striker.
Juventus ace David Trezeguet has been a long-term target for Benitez, while the Spaniard also admitted interest in his teammate Valeri Bojinov today.
In an open interview with Corriere dello Sport, Benitez said: "We are following many players in Italy, like Trezeguet, but he's not alone and for me there is also (Udinese's Vicenzo) Iaquinta, (Palermo's) Amauri and Bojinov."
The Reds manager also stated: "The fenomeni of today are Ronaldinho, Kaka, (Francesco) Totti and Patrick (Vieira). (Leo) Messi will soon be able to reach that level, while Cristiano Ronaldo is the best right winger going around."Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I don't believe a word of this. Rafa wouldn't openly talk about targets.**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.

wow thata header from Amauri is class. We haven't seen finishing like that for a awhile.
Bojinov has really produced very little since he burst onto the scene...i would be nervous if we spent a large amount on him. He can look as good as Rooney on his day....but we haven't seen him play at that stndard for a season. Youth is still on his side.
Trez and Bellamy would be a good partnership IMO....but i really cant see Trez as a Rafa type player TBH...he does very little around the pitch apart from score goals."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

i think he will be more candid in naming his targets no that we have financial backing....he was forced to keep his cards close to his chest before due to the financial constraints that the club were under, and because of Chelski of course.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostHe did about Crouch, yet everyone said it was 'a smokescreen'."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

Why though? Who needs to know? Why would he have to tell the world who he wants to sign no other club does?Originally posted by Harveybirdman View Posti think he will be more candid in naming his targets no that we have financial backing....he was forced to keep his cards close to his chest before due to the financial constraints that the club were under, and because of Chelski of course.**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.
