I think we need a striker to come in during the next week.

Not really up to Rafa to "pull this one off" unfortunately.

Rafa's registered his interest countless times.

The future of this one rests in Parry's hands.

I really really hope we get this guy, haven´t really been this excited about a striker since we bought Stan Collymore!

4-4-2 leaves too much space infront of the back 4 and infront of the midfield 4, Rafa likes balanced teams, who can plug the gaps, keeping the team compact.
                    Is correct.

I never cease to be amazed by the number of our fans who watch us play and still don't realise Benitez favours 4-2-3-1 above all other formations

Well perhaps that has been dictated by personnel as much as anything else?

                          OK, bad turn of phrase

What I meant was that I hope Feyenoord don't **** us about

We played 4-2-3-1 for a while on Wednesday only Bellamy prefers to run the line rather than stand and act as a pivot so it all went a bit to cock.

Gerrard wasn't very effective in the Aimar role either because he always wants to be where the ball is.

IMHO Rafa might want to play the system as he knows it well and it would accomodate the 3 in midfield but we'll have to see if it works with the personnel we have.
