I believe he didnt play for West Ham much because otherwise clauses would have been triggered in his contract and West Ham would have had to pay BIG $$$

No idea, he's 22 according to the press.

Off for my dinner, so I'll look it up later if no-one else has.

In one of the "other" masher threads, he's 22 with 22 caps, easy to remember.

Yes but in 18 months time he could have still been 23, however, he's not, he's 24 on June 8th 2008

Hmmm, I'm not happy with him only having a 18 month contract - he could be worthless in under a year.

              BIG risk

Does Kevin Feeney still scout for LFC?

OR, no more Zenden in midfield

This gives us options. 4-3-3, 4-5-1, 4-4-1-1 etc.

Mascherano is WAY too good to warm the bench. He will get a lot of games.

Wasn't the case at West Ham.

It was definitely the case for Argentina at the world cup and everywhere else he has played.

Don't forget WHU needed to pay a fee if he played any more games. They didn't want to pay the fee!
