    Ever start a chant/song at a match?

Just wondering if any of you ppl have got a chant/song at a Liverpool game?
Must be great if it comes off and the whole ground starts singing although
on the other hand if it don't come off you're looking rather red faced to say the least.
"Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

I did once, was only a Liverpool, Liverpool, Liverpool chat, but I was well made up. Had a few soups on me that day and was raring to go.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Both, but only ever away from home. Got one started at Derby County away once, and at Barca in 2002, but I remember also having one bomb at Forest - which was particularly embarrassing as it was the first (and last) time I'd taken my then-girlfriend to an away game.

        Decent post Marky.

I'm always amongst the first to join In, but I've only ever attempted to start a chant once.

I screamed at the top of my voice 'OH WHEN THE REDS...' and nobody joined in. Ouch.

Away games are ace for atmosphere, lightyears away from being in the Main Stand at home to Charlton or some other ****e...lips sealed, bum on seat. Boring.

I start chanting the player's name who's just scored, because that way you know everyone will join in!!!

Also on the 'Oh when the Reds', i'll always go on the second line, so it's 'Oh when the Reds', 'Oh when the Reds, go marching in, go marching in!

You're in the minority, but it's good!

I always join songs straight away (unless they're ****e), but I'm too chicken to start one.

To be fair, I'm not regular enough in the seat I usually get.

I started singing YNWA just before kick off - and everyone suddenly joined in and held their scarves up.

I'm waiting for some Manc to pipe up that he started singing YNWA way back in 1955 and they sang it at Old Toilet for years before we "stole" it and made it our anthem

I was in the centenary stand and was trying to pluck up the courage to start a chant when my mate slagged off a poor pass by an LFC player. A big burly scouser then said to us in a matter of fact tone: "If your gonna slag off the team then f**k off down the road and support Everton" We were both 15, both from near Sheffield, and we both kept quiet for the rest of the game!

I wonder if any of you started to sing "Michael Owen you're a staaaaaaaaaar" at the football match! And if yes, how did you manage to get out of there alive?

We managed to start a few choruses of YNWA in Hamburg during the world cup. Best was at 3.30am on the Reeperbahn just before most people took the knock. For some reason, the Germans didn't know the words to Scouser Tommy, but got into the spirit of things. We watched the Germany v Argentina game in an italian restaurant and got them singing, "Same old Argies, always cheating". Random choruses of L.I.V.E.R.P. Brian Robsons got VD... kept breaking out for some reason too.
