If you want El-Hadj to score then raise your hands higher!

    Quality.

    Almost as good as:

Put your hands up for Dirk Kuyt. He loves this City!

to the tune of Fedde le grands Detroit.

I'm always amongst the first to join In, but I've only ever attempted to start a chant once.

I screamed at the top of my voice 'OH WHEN THE REDS...' and nobody joined in. Ouch.

Away games are ace for atmosphere, lightyears away from being in the Main Stand at home to Charlton or some other ****e...lips sealed, bum on seat. Boring.
Maybe it was because you were wearing your United shirt at the time...

There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

I started one at the Community Shield on the way out of the Millennium last August about Crouchy and his bird who had been in the papers that day for alleged snorting of some white powder...

"HE'S BIG, HE'S RED, HIS GIRLFRIEND'S OFF HER HEAD, PETER CROUCH, PETER CROUCH..."

        That got everybody singing!

I couldn't say - I switched to Real-Bayern after a few minutes, but the YNWA pre-kick off was ****ing superb.

Have to be honest and say i felt a little envious when the Celtic fans were signing YNWA.
Liverpool fans still do a better rendition though.
"Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

I wouldn't worry mate. I'm sure we'll belt out a YNWA to be proud of vs Barca in the home leg.

Done it a few times, including one at the Ataturk. I was at it again in Barca on the night before the game - hence my lack of voice now. I only do it when I'm on the ale though, I get all brave then. Its about picking the right chant at the right time, but I find "When the Reds go marching in" is always a good stock song to get going.

I started up a rendition of Scouser Tommy in Wetherspoons in Manchester City Centre before a Roger Waters gig.

I was with about 10 hairy arsed mates though who duly joined in.

I threatened them with my ruck sack.

It was a Roger Waters gig, there were more scousers there than on the Kop
