I know most of you will probably disagree - but I can see where he's coming from. Off the top of my head, I can't think of one 'world class' player who has remained with his first club throughout the whole of his career*.
Franco Baresi, Paolo Maldini. Both defo world class

Costacurta wasn't too bad either was he in his prime?
Xavi and possibly Puyol are world class or close.

Xavi Hernandez IS world class. Puyol on the other hand has a long way to go before he can be tagged with that label.

Yes, he is. What are you laughing at? Do you think he's average? Or not even that. If you do, I'd have to disagree. I can't really think of him ever putting a foot wrong in his career really....

He put a foot wrong tonight and damaged his ankle ligaments by doing so...

Alessandro Del Piero has been at Juve since he was a youth player too. Ciro Ferrara stayed there for his whole career didn't he?

Maldini. Decent person to emulate too...

That said, Edmilson should keep his trap shut.

Raul only played for Atletico on a youth contract though. He signed for Real when he was 15 after Atletico shut down their youth team.

And while checking that I was right, I found this quote from Franz Beckenbauer about Raul in 2000:

"Raúl is one of the best of Europe. He is Real Madrid's spirit. He is like Matthäus for us: indispensable, and with a bad haircut"
Such an ugly face, such an ugly mouth.
