    The nutter with the putter.

His interview with Sky was class, I am delighted he scored on his lads birthday. I really think we should stop this talk of him leaving in the summer, I thought he wasn't good enough when he arrived but he proved me wrong if only he could sort out his finishing.

Long live the nutter with the putter
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

i was actually disappointed with his interview. He still doesn't seem to accept he did anything wrong. it wasn't the media's fault, it was his. he attacked/threatened to attack Riise with a golf club, not the media.

He played really well tonight, I just wished he'd said, he'd acted unprofessionally & it won't happen again.

Any idea what he wanted to sing at the Karaoke?

Someone said it was "Any Old Iron" but I think they were just playing a round...

I kind of agree but I thought he was on the brink of saying something along those lines, but didn't want to make any concessions to the c**ts in the media - and why should he? **** 'em.

What proof do we have of that? Only the media. First he burst into Riise's bedroom and beat his legs with a golf club. Then he just hit him with a golf club. Then he just threatened him with a golf club. Now they are just being fined for breaking a curfew. If he had attacked Riise then Rafa wouldn't have had him anywhere near there. So much bull**** talked by the media, you'd have thought we'd have been used to it by now.

I think Beller's isn't taking the flack for it is cause it didn't happened like it said in the newspapers. Also for someone who doesn't like getting up and singing on stage Riise loves stripping off in football stadiums. I am not talking about tonight I am talking about previous occasions.

Craig Bellamy declared Wednesday night's victory in the Nou Camp his greatest moment in football.

The Reds achieved an historic win over Barca with strikes from Bellamy and John Arne Riise – an irony not lost on the Welshman.

"You couldn't make up what has happened tonight," he said. "I've not been reading the papers so I've not been too bothered what people say.

"All I wanted to do was make the most of the special atmosphere and the build up to the game. I've been reasonably lucky in football, playing for my country and other big clubs, but this is my best moment in the game.

However, despite two away goals, the striker insists no one at Anfield will be getting carried away.

He said: "It was important at the final whistle that we didn't milk the victory. The dressing room was actually quite subdued afterwards. Well, as subdued as it can be after a win at the Nou Camp.

"This is a great result but it is only half-time. We've got to go back to Anfield for a completely different game, so as good a result as this is, there's still a long way to go.

"I take the rough with the smooth and to be honest I'm a bit gobsmacked tonight - coming here to the Nou Camp was something else. It's also my boy's 10th birthday today so it's just been really special.

"We wanted to hold them out for as long as possible but we knew it was going to be difficult. They are a top, top side and the reigning champions of Europe, but we've done a lot of work to prepare for this game and I think you could see that."

Meanwhile, Riise paid tribute to Rafa's tactical prowess.

He said: "We knew we needed to enjoy it out there and believe in ourselves. To be fair we started the game very well. They scored but we knew that if we worked hard we would get a goal back.

"The boss has shown tonight that, tactically, he's one of the best around."

                        I know what you mean.
He's an odd bloke, bellamy. he's obviously a knobhead with his off the field antics but somehow you can't help but like him. He doesn't seem to take the whole thing too seriously when he's interviewed. you sense he's always biting his tongue, as if he is desparate to say what he really thinks but knows he can't.

You might remember he did exactly that in a post-match interview when he was at Newcastle and it got him in a lot of ****...

Whilst we'll never know what did or didn't happen, its quite clear something went on between Bellamy & JAR. Whilst the media may have blown the whole thing up a bit, if he had of behaved himself, theres nothing for the media to exaggerate is there.

I could sense a Keegan moment coming along in his interview.
