Rijkaard nearly reduced to tears :)

He was struggling to hold it together in his post match interview wasn't he, almost a shadow of the man that fought so finely with Rudi Voller.

I don't think that we can understate the significance of our win last night and Franks reaction was a reflection of this. People will carry on making excuses, but we earned that result with our tactics and commitment. Hopefully we'll build on this in two weeks time.

...or, alternatively, coughed up a greeny into the back of his perm when he wasn't looking.

I did think at the time that he looked and sounded liked a man who about to start crying.

Ronaldhino looked like he was going to start cry toward the end.
Not much fight or passion in him yesterday.

Didn't feel sorry for him though I must add! I hope he really is in tears in 2 weeks time when we beat them at Anfield.

Despite the European Cup, I still have my doubts about him as a coach.
It'll be interesting to see how he fares at Milan, if/when he goes there...

Ronaldhino FFS, he should play in a circus, with his flicks and bucked tooth ugliness. Inefficient, and not worth his salt. Let him go to United.

I met Rudi Voller in Düsseldorf in 2004. Having checked out his greying afro, I can categorically state that he must have washed the golly out a few months prior to our meeting.

He wasn't great as Dutch national coach. The semi final of Euro 2000 when they lost to Italy was a pathetic performance.

Rijkaard was visibly upset but he was gracious in defeat as always. I like the man alot.

Surprised that people on here doubt the guy's ability as a manager. He won La Liga and the CL last year and is still top of La Liga this year. on top of that he put together a side that over the last couple of years has played some of the best football I've ever seen. Top man.

To be fair he isn't the first, and won't be the last dutch coach to have the national team implode, in spite of his best efforts...

                          Well said.

He was a pretty good player as well from what I can remember. He would have got on great with Diouf.
