Frank needs to take him off that left flank, drop him as an off striker where he shined in the 2002 WC. That's always been his best position, he's been playing OUT of position for 3 years now.

I think that Rijkaard realised that Barca would be in for a tough time at Anfield in 2 weeks and wanted to make sure that they had a lead going in to the second leg, That was why he made the changes he did IMHO. When that plan backfired he realised that what would already be a hard task had just got even harder.

I think its a little presumptious, Messi was hardly fit, and he was at least at half at fault for thier goal.
