Well, the "honour" of it all, obviously. Having the England captain at Anfield would be a little bit of a feather in our cap. Stevie obviously wanted it and I reckon it would've given him a bit of a lift and maybe even helped him raise his game further.Originally posted by enema of the statecare to explain how mr shags?
It's not a major issue though and I'm sure Gerrard will get over the disappointment in no time.
I assume your view is based on all the negativity the England ****e attracts, and I appreciate that. I just thought the pros outweighed any perceived cons. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

**** off Mr Pedantic...Originally posted by brendancf Alan Shearer, Owen, Platt, Pearce, Robson, Keegan, Hughes.
I meant nowadays, the England team is virtually run by the media, who are primarily London based. If the England manager doesn't sing to their hymn sheet they turn on him - plus (apologies to all the tubthumping northern England fans) most England fans are Southerners.
Naming a Southern based Captain, especially a cockney wideboy that the skinhead Millwall fans can relate to, was expected.
Just my humble...
P.S. I don't care for England.HOT CANCER.
