yet he had our best chance which was well saved by VDS. If you need to have a pop, I'd suggest Momo and Rafa with his strange substitutions. Frankly the game was there to be won and we do not have that cutting edge. There is nothing unexpected about our side.

Frankly speaking we just don't have good enough attackers.
Bellamy, Kuyt, Crouch, Pennant, Gonzalez decent to good players all, but they don't scare anyone, maybe Bellamy with his pace but his end product today was lacking.I hate Polanski

IMO he lacks the strength of header that would compliment his height, and strength in his legs to bury a shot.Originally posted by carheex View Postgood job he's a footballer and not a weightlifter then!
Lads a good player but his physical weaknesses prevent him scoring more goals. , IMO.

Sissoko was the biggest mystery today. Not only did he look like a pub footballer but he seemed to be playing really far up the pitch in an attacking role. Sissoko's strengths are in tackling, simple passing (usually!) and interceptions. Alonso's are creative passing and shooting - they were playing in each other's positions and it was obvious!

True, but I believe that greater strength would have meant a few more goals, therefore greater confidence with todays chance to either bury it with his head or a belting volley.Originally posted by Red_Al_77 View Postyet he had our best chance which was well saved by VDS.
Like I said, good player but I'd like to see a bit more strength in his finishing...Last edited by Sydney Vicious; 03-03-07, 04:00 PM.

Sissoko's passing is usually average but it was below par today. Much more sloppy than usual, which is a real shame. Not sure Mascherano would have enjoyed the pace of the game, regardless of his greater passing ability...
