    Calm Down People

FFS, what's going on, we lose 1-0 to Man Utd, from a set piece, and all hell breaks lose, Kuyt's not good enough, Momo's not good enough, people should settle down.

    We will beat Barca 3-0.

    You wait.
    On the Ning Nang Nong
    Where the Cows go Bong!
And the Monkeys all say Boo!
    There's a Nong Nang Ning
    Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots Jibber Jabber Joo.
    On the Nong Ning Nang
    All the mice go Clang!
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
    So it's Ning Nang Nong!
    Cows go Bong!
    Nong Nang Ning!
    Trees go Ping!
    Nong Ning Nang!
    The mice go clang!
What a noisy place to belong,
Is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

I think the point is probably that Kuyt should have gone off instead off Bellamy. Also Momo was ****e yesterday. He's amazing in the tackle and at winning the ball, but as has aleady been mentioned, what's the point in winning it if you give it straight back to the opposition?
      That's the one...

I don't think it has much to do with the result yesterday, its more to do with us being 20 odd points off the mark still. My Kuyt thread had absolutely nothing to do with yesterdays performance.

The Momo thing is a bit of a knee jerk reaction, but it wasn't just an average performance from him yesterday, it was very, very poor.

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Despite the inevitable kneejerk reactions defeat should never be accepted.

Oh do me a ****ing favour.

We finished fourth in Houllier's last season.

In three years under Rafa, and 80 million pounds later, we've finished 5th, 3rd (and now in all probability) 4th again, without anything even resembling a title challenge.

We haven't progressed in the league under Rafa. At all.

He had to settle for second best in the transfer market. It`s easy to blame Rafa,i`d look above him in the board. The Yanks will change that and let Rafa buy the players we WANT!!!!

Then if we don`t challenge for the PL you can blame rafa.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

One defeat has caused some people's brains to explode again I see.

We knew we weren't gonna win the league before yesterdays game, we know we are in a battle for 3rd and 4th with Arsenal (does it really matter in which place we come by the way?, its virtually the same) *waits to be loudly slagged off*

                    Keep the faith.

No but we have improved as a team. Wait until Rafa gets his hands on a bit of cash to strengthen with real quality. Yes he's had money so far but he's had to rebulild most of the squad. We're at a pont now where the basis of the sqaud is complete and Rafa will have money that he hasn't had in the past to bring in a few quality players without having to sell any players unless he wishes to do so.

                      Then you'll see the improvements.

We have not spent 80million NET under Rafa. Plus Houiller spent about 100million NET and all we had to show for it was Hyypia, Finnan, Riise and Didi

You're clearly incapable of debate, you're just putting words in my mouth.

In three seasons under Rafa, have we got close to a title challenge ? No.

                          That's the bottom line.

How about 5 defeats in 6 league games against the mancs since Rafa took over.
