OK guys rate all of our players based on performances this season 1-10.

For me it would be as follows

    1. Jerzy Dudek - 4
    2. Alvaro Arbeloa - 7 (based on 1 performance)
    3. Steve Finnan - 8
    4. Sami Hyypia - 7
    5. Daniel Agger - 8
    6. John Arne Riise - 6
    7. Harry Kewell - N/A
    8. Steven Gerrard - 8
    9. Robbie Fowler - 6 1/2
    10. Luis Garcia - 6
    11. Mark Gonzalez - 4 1/2
    12. Fabio Aurelio - 6
    14. Xabi Alonso - 6 1/2
    15. Peter Crouch - 7 1/2
    16. Jermaine Pennant - 6 1/2
    17. Craig Bellamy - 7
    18. Dirk Kuyt - 6
    20. Javier Mascherano - 7 1/2 (based on 1 performance)
    22. Momo Sissoko - 8

For me it would be as follows

    1. Jerzy Dudek - 4 About right
    2. Alvaro Arbeloa - 7 (based on 1 performance)
    3. Steve Finnan - 8 Good few assists but i'd make that a 7
    4. Sami Hyypia - 7
    5. Daniel Agger - 8
    6. John Arne Riise - 6
    7. Harry Kewell - N/A
    8. Steven Gerrard - 8 Only a 7 1/2 for me. Nowhere as good as last year
    9. Robbie Fowler - 6 1/2 a 7 for me. 7 from 7 starts not bad
    10. Luis Garcia - 6
    11. Mark Gonzalez - 4 1/2 behave he's worth a six
    12. Fabio Aurelio - 6
    14. Xabi Alonso - 6 1/2 His passing has been average but his tackling and ball retention is still awesome. He gets a 7.5
    15. Peter Crouch - 7
    16. Jermaine Pennant - 6 1/2 Recent performances have him edging to a 7.5 for me.
    17. Craig Bellamy - 7
    18. Dirk Kuyt - 6 Are you insane. He looks worse 'cos Rafa is playing him between the lines instead of as a true striker. I'd give him 7.5
    20. Javier Mascherano - 7 1/2 (based on 1 performance)
    22. Momo Sissoko - 8 1st half against Manure aside i'd agree.
    23. Jamie Carragher - 8 1/2 He gets an 8 in my book, he's not been better than agger especially when you look back at his early season form
    25. Pepe Reina - 9 He's good but not that good. 7 1/2
    29. Gabriel Paletta - 4 He's better than a four, but based on THAT game. A four is about right
    32. Boudewijn Zenden - 5
So for me that makes Momo or Agger player of the season. About right?

Bit harsh on Crouchy, I'd give him an 8.

          1. Jerzy Dudek - 5 (an extra 1 for the penalty save against Baptista, on his way soon)

          2. Alvaro Arbeloa - 7 (looked promising out of position in his only match)

          3. Steve Finnan - 6.5 (disappointing going forward and could be sold)

          4. Sami Hyypia - 7 (still solid but obviously third choice now and will be on his way)

          5. Daniel Agger - 7.5 (great first full season and will get even better)

          6. John Arne Riise - 5 (poor positional play and losses of concentration)

          7. Harry Kewell - ?? (is he still with us?)

          8. Steven Gerrard - 8.5 (top quality in most matches but disappears occasionally)

          9. Robbie Fowler - 5 (should be 4 but I love the fella, sadly won't be offered new contract)

          10. Luis Garcia - 7 (class act and a real matchwinner but also frustrating)

          11. Mark Gonzalez - 5 (hopefully will improve but might not get time)

          12. Fabio Aurelio - 6.5 (some good matches and will be better once he's adapted)

          14. Xabi Alonso - 6.5 (disappointing this season unfortunately)

          15. Peter Crouch - 7.5 (good all round play but could do better in front of goal)

          16. Jermaine Pennant - 7 (getting better all the time)

          17. Craig Bellamy - 6 (still to find his goalscoring boots but should improve if given the chance)

          18. Dirk Kuyt - 7.5 (a big plus for me but same as Crouchy in front of goal)

          20. Javier Mascherano - 8 (would have been 9 but for quiet first 15 minutes in his only match)

          22. Momo Sissoko - 6.5 (poor distribution and clumsy tackles let him down)

          23. Jamie Carragher - 9 (immense - no other word)

          25. Pepe Reina - 8 (great record but the odd lapse costs us dearly)

          29. Gabriel Paletta - 5 (can only improve and must be given time)

          32. Boudewijn Zenden - 5 (sadly not good enough and will probably leave in the summer)

          Interesting thread!

CL Medal Winner replaced by Rafa`s fellow Countryman harshly.Pepe is good but if Dudek doesn`t play who`s to say he wouldn`t be better.

Sorry, I like Dudek for his CL heroics but he's not god enough. He makes far too many basic errors and doesn't marshall his defence at all. Every keeper makes mistakes but Dudeks are too frequent and are confidence sapping.

I thought he had a ****ing shocker in both Arsenal games.

What, you think Stevie should be higher?

SpeedyG, I'm not being patronising - which of course means I am - but how many matches have you actually been to this season?

Given that I live in Florida, not very many!!! How many have I seen? All of them (including preseason) and multiple times (thank the lord for streams and torrents, I've seen more games over here than I ever did in the UK).

BTW Patronise away I'm not easily offended.

I'm lucky enough to have a season ticket but therefore it seems not lucky enough to be able to judge Gerrard as well as you, eh?

I'm glad you have a season ticket. But I don't see why that automatically invalidates my opinion that Stevie has been a shadow of his former self.
