You're so right, Quinncy. Can I swap my season ticket for your armchair please so I can fully appreciate and understand the game and be able to judge players better?Originally posted by Quinncy View PostSorry RS4,but your saying that watching the game live makes you a better pundit than somebody who watches a game on TV,i disagree, there`s not much difference due to replays you don`t have and different camera angles,it`s possible TV viewers see more than you.
Thanks...

Why do you assume, because you are at the match, that you can judge a player better than I?Originally posted by rushscored4 View PostYou're so right, Quinncy. Can I swap my season ticket for your armchair please so I can fully appreciate and understand the game and be able to judge players better?

That`s not what i was saying,Tv viewers can EQUALLY judge for themselves when a player has a good game compared to those Lucky enough to have a season ticket.Anywho,i took it back.Originally posted by rushscored4 View PostYou're so right, Quinncy. If that WASN'T the case why would Sky or the Beeb or other TV stations bother sending their commentators and presenters to the ground? Why not have them all just sitting in a studio in Isleworth or Shepherds Bush watching a big HDTV?

Will you buy me one of those big, comfy armchairs with a fridge for your beer in the arm, a huge HD plasma telly and those special glasses for watching a match properly that season ticket holders obviously don't have?Originally posted by Laddsy View PostI will happily take your season ticket. I agree that you see the bigger picture at the game, and usually can have a greater impression on who is affecting the game, who's playing well, who's not showing for the ball/hiding etc etc.Originally posted by rushscored4 View PostDespite the season ticket costing me nearly £600 unbelievably I can still afford a TV and 'Sky+' so I can watch all the same replays and camera angles that you guys see BUT - and honestly, like my missus, it's a huge but - you really do see so much more 'off the ball' when you're in the ground...

But on the flipside (not that this has anything to do with judging players) there are always various incidents in a game you don't get a good view of (especially if you're in the Kop or Anny Road - either of the Main or Centenary Stand offer better views insofar as seeing the bigger picture) and "need to see it on the telly" before coming to a conclusion. Usually with penalty calls or offsides, for example.
Both have their pros and cons but, obviously, one is infinitely more preferable than the other.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Don't disagree that you can see more off the ball in the ground. But how did that help you with Bolton away. Was your view as good when the play was at the other end of the ground.
Do you need to be at the ground to see Stevie overhit yet another pass?

Shaggy, I don't disagree but those of us fortunate enough to have a season ticket can still see those replays and different camera angles afterwards if we want. Those watching it 'live' at home can never truly see the incidents that happen off the ball. I'm talking about things like Stevie G making a run from deep, Kuyt peeling away to take a defender out, Carra shouting at his fellow defenders (and giving Stevie a bollocking on Saturday), etc, etc...Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostBoth have their pros and cons but, obviously, one is infinitely more preferable than the other.
Anyway, I've made my point so I'll get off my high horse and get back on the drugs...
