Liverpool to bid for Blackburn winger Pedersen

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is preparing a major bid for Blackburn Rovers winger Morten Gamst Pedersen.
The left-side of midfield remains a problem area for Benitez with Mark Gonzalez struggling to make the position his own in the absence of injury-plagued Australian Harry Kewell.

The People says Benitez is convinced Pedersen is the solution and armed with the cash from new Liverpool owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett is ready to test Rovers' resolve in the summer.

Just the lad we need, quality footballer.
Deecent pace, most of all fantastic delivery fromt he wing, great on set pieces, decent in the air, quick feet, good work ethic
and all in all the ideal left winger for us imo.
    This lad's the business.

Good player but people are going over the top about him based on some admittedly sumptuous left foot strikes.

He's not consistent enough, not what you'd call a line-hugging winger and not what we need, IMO.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Good signing if we can get him

I suspect it'll be one hell of a fight to get him though.

***With the rumours that Blackburn want Bellamy back, would anyone engage in a swap? MGP for Bellamy?

I'd rather have Bentley if that was the case.

I'm not too bothered over Pedersen.

Pederson or "World Class striker ie,Villa or Et`o"
We really should be lining up better than Pederson.

Who is better on the left side of midfield than Pederson?

I see him as a left sided Ray Houghton. What we need is a right footed John Barnes to go with him (possibly named Giles )

All a matter of opinion shaggy mate, i'm of the opinion he's a flippin quality player who would make a big difference to us.

We still need that winger that can continually delivery the ball in the box, he'd get us 10 goals a season i'd reckon too which would be a nice change from our current wingers.

Left wingers are a rare breed nowadays but in Gamst Pedersen i think we'd have a quality one if we were to buy him.

Sorry mate but Eto'o and Villa have sweet fa do with the possible
                purchase of Pederson.
What's the validity of your point?

No consistency whatsoever, doesnt have the ability to beat defenders, just a left foot.

He would be a step sideways, nothing more...

I know a Blackburn ST holder who backs up my impression of him. A proper 'Match of the Day' player.

Villa and etoo are world class. Pedersen, by a long shot, is not. A couple of goals this year and all of a sudden he's a superstar. Get a grip.

Right sided winger is more of a priority IMO anyway

They don't play in the same position though mate, I think that's what Marky was getting at.

Can't understand all the fuss about this player, just a Norwegian "Beckham-wannabe"
