IMHO , if Owen had been playing last night, he would have SCORED, at least ONE of the chances missed by Bellamy & Crouch.

then, we would have been in the CLEAR, and not had such a NERVOUS last few minutes.

Rocket....I think Owen was a great player for us (which many people on here forget)....the problem is Liverpool supporters have memories like elephants and unfortunately the manner of his contract stalling and transfer to madrid has tainted his memory!!! He would have scored against the scum and barca last night no doubt in my mind at all....he was a big game player
        Dare we believe

You are not succeeding well with your AF act Rocket.
More lineups and gramatical errors are needed.

exactly. he gone to Madrid at the time, they were the BIGGEST team in the world. IMHO, Parry should have made him SIGN the contract EARLIER.

Rafa WILL put an offer in, IN the summer

Owen was a better striker than Robbie but not better than Rush.

Owen scored a lot of goals for a defensive playing team. Robbie scored almost all his goals for a team playing full attacking football.

Houllier built his team around one player, Owen. Why? Because Houllier knew that he would score the goals we needed to win trophies. If he had thought that Robbie was the more clinical striker then he would have built the team around him and not Owen.

The stats tells us the same thing.

Owen scored in more % of the games than Fowler and he did it getting less chances in the games to do it.

Owen is now out injured and no one knows how fit he will be and how much pace he have lost.

A fit Owen would walk into our starting XI without any problems at all but we will have to wait and see how fit he will be.

Now isn't the time to sign him. We need a striker who can deliver from the start of next season and Owen will probably need a few months of that season to get back to 100% again if he ever will be that.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

IMHO, with the investment, i can see this being our BEST first team NEXT season.

                    -----------Reina-------------

                    Finnan - Caragher - Agger - Riise

                    Alves - - Momo - Alonso - Kewell

                    ----------Villa ---------------

                    -----------------Owen-------

Yeah Rocket can you give us a formation to show how Owen will fit in next season?

I'm not back on track I said that I don't want us to sign him back in the summer.

Owen was more clinical than Robbie when he played for us but God was a more complete player.

It's all about opinions when you discuss who was the better player. If you think that the more clinical striker is the better player then Owen is the answer but if you think the more complete player is the better player then God is the answer.

                            Owen more clinical than Fowler?!?!!
I mean, what are you on?

Obvioulsy you have forgotten how many chances Owen used to waste, and that he usually scored goals with his instep after running through the defence.

Robbie: instep, proper shots, lobs, headers, left foot, right foot, from distance, inside the box.

And don't give me stats about Owen scoring more per game or something, then I will call Marcus50bucks now. This is about how they are as strikers and the skills they have, not mere numbers to prove it all.

Check my signature...How to score goals

That will tell you that Owen scored all sort of goals just like Robbie.

I don't want to start another Owen argument so you just will have to do with my opinion.
