i think you should call him a forward.

A striker to me is a player who plays up front and scores the goals.

We need an Aldridge type player who just hangs around the penalty spot all game but taps them in.

i am fed up with how last season RB was going on about Crouch's work rate when he wasn't scoring and now this season the same about Kuyt.

We need a goal poacher/ scorer. I know its old hat but i am sure fowler would be more effective until we can buy someone in the summer.

Why cant we have the other 9 outfield players doing the work and at least whenever they get forward they know that we will have someone waiting in the box for a pass. A the moment we attack sometimes from the half way and there is no one for the player to pass to.

    We need goals desperate.

Maybe Rafa doesnt have an 'eye' for a good finisher'. Might be total bollox but the six yard box predators are always the best workers for the team. I 'd trade a good, hard, worker for a selfish clinical finisher to help complete the squad.
"I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.

Maybe he just had to wait until the striker he wants(Villa) becomes available?
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I thought we already had one. He just doesn't get the games...
Life is NOT a journey to the grave with the goal of arriving safely in a prettily preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways in a shower of gravel and party shards, thoroughly used, utterly exhausted, and loudly proclaiming: "F*** ME, that was BRILLIANT!"

At least we've got a week off before we play Aston Villa on Sunday the 18th. Time for the lads to forget about Europe & concentrate on getting 3rd or 2nd spot in the prem.
2nd? Keep dreaming. At this point, we need to hope to retain 3rd. Have to keep winning cause another draw or loss would put us right in reach of Bolton for 4th!!!!

Kuyt has had questionable finnishing, but he's still better than Crouch, and I think he'll be much better next season. I just hope he has a partner who will place it no problems (and I don't think Voronin is the one to do it)
