We missed some clear cut chances tonight, thank God it didn't cost us.

Kuyt isn't a good enough finisher but his overall game makes him a very good striker.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I think he will improve immensly next season. This year if he gets around 15-18 goals then its a successful 1st season.
Disagree about his finishing. His strike against Chavski was cool, calm & collective. His double v Reading were sublime. His instinctive header v the arse in the 1-3 loss was good as well.
In my opinion he has it all & with a better strike partner he will improve more.

Bottom line is Kuyt misses far to many chances for more liking. his finishing is no better than Crouch.

Crouch is by far the most wasteful finisher. He had the best chance at the end in the game and there's no way from that distance he should have missed the target.

PS Respect to Pennant - I thought he did very well when he came on. Possibly caught out of position for their goal but did a good job of running at their players and gave the defence a bit of respite

Cant agree with that. Kuyt doesnt miss the chances Crouch does. Crouch's poor finishing has cost us at least 4 points this season

                          dunno about that Marcus mate
Kuyt is playin' in a new league that is much higher in standards than the Dutch league. He's got 10 goals so far which is not bad. I really believe that he will improve & score more goals next season.

I think Kuyts had a terrific first season so far. 10 goals and as many assists and his workrate is phenomenal. He will only improve. However he looks tired at the mo and could do with a rest!!
