    The strikers thread

Does anyone know where to find the statistic for percentage of chances converted.

I read a story a few years back that Owen converted about 50% of his chances where as Henry only about 30% of his.

It would be fun to see those kind of stats on the strikers we are being linked with.

        17 shots....

        ...and no goals.

What were the stats V theScum?

How long can this go on?
        Why's Rafa keep subbing Bellamy?

Against the scum it was approximately the same. Bellers is no goalscorer as he had a great chance early in the second half but instead of putting the boot in, he tried to control it with his knee.

We should have been well clear in the first half and won that game easily.

I know it's been said a million times in recent days but where would we be with a goalscorer, and I'm talking league here.

In with a chance to win it.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Two games at Anfield where we have battered the opponents yet we could not score 1 single goal, NOT for the lack of trying like.
At least we've got a week off before we play Aston Villa on Sunday the 18th. Time for the lads to forget about Europe & concentrate on getting 3rd or 2nd spot in the prem.

No, we'd be well behind SCUM. They've been unbelievable in the league this season

To be honest though, out of the 17 chances it was the likes of Gerrard, Riise and Sissoko who missed more of the chances than the strikers.

We have not had the money in the past to buy top class attackers.

Now we do so next season if we dominate a game and have a gazzilion attempts on goal, we will score at least two.

                        I hope.

Our finishing is worst than ****.

Seriously it's awful, we should have battered both barca and man utd.

It is really starting to piss me off. Kuyt always seems to be the one staying on the pitch rather than Bellamy even when playing the poorer of the two. I see no logical reason as to why this is happening.

Whenever Bellamy gets taken off our attacking play looks so ****.

Kuyt is so flipping slow he looks like he's running backwards

I would love to read your views on Kuyt.
