i do think he looks tidy and will provide good cover across the back 4 (and as he says himself in that interiew left wing!)

i wouldn't object to him playing left back more often and pushing JAR into left mid as JAR is arguably better there, more of a goal threat than speedy and fitter than kewell.

    finnan is untouchable for me.
Good shout. If Arbo is comfortable at left back Riise would be very effective on the left. He's not got breathtaking skill but he's always going to give a defence something to think about with those screamers from just about any distance.

Got his distance right more times than not, decent pace and not afarid to
put the boot in,i don't see any weaknesses in his play.

Superb addition to the squad, think he could play anywhere across the
        back 4.
He done ok in the first half but guily had him when he come on, he didnt know where to look, i was right behind hi the second half i dont know where it looked on tv if people watched it there. But i will agree he looks a decent buy, so did josemi though......

at least we got our money back for josemi. one of his few redeeming qualities

            same with nunez and kromkamp.

cheap squad fillers who didn't cost us much and contributed at some stage in our CL and FA cup winning squads

                good 'un.

I like his attitude. He looks brave, decisive and strong. Pretty quick too.

It's early days though - Josemi looked excellent in his early appearances, although clearly he never came up against such opposition in those games.

That said, Arbeloa looks much, much better than Josemi.

                  So far so good.
                  Good diver too Shaggy.
He played barca at their own game over two legs.

Won us a fair few free kicks.
It's not something I'd normally advocate but I'd hate to see us lose to a side doing it.

Anyone who remembers the Celtic vs Porto UEFA cup final from a few years back will know how robbed Celtic were, they were to honest to dive and in the end ended up losers and frustrated at Porto.

But I like what I've seen of the lad so far.
