I don't think he is a priority, we need some to score, we have enough people to create (and we create a lot). Lennon wouldn't give us more goals and his delivary is not that great. Not who we should break the bank for at all.

Lennon is exactly the sort of player who we need, young, talented and English. sure we'd pay through the nose for him but if you want young English quality players then thats the going rate. Our aim must be to win the league in the next couple of seasons. to do this we need a mix of British and foreign talent, we can't buy foreign all the time, so any English players we do buy will be overpriced. Who are our best 2 players now, SG & Carra, English. Who are Chelsea's best players, Terry, Lampard, cech & Drogba. 2 out 4 English. Who are utds best players, Scholes, ronaldo, rooney, ferdinand & Neville. 4 out of 5 are English. Its no coincidence to me that the best teams ( Arsenal apart) have the cream of the English players. I don't beleive we will win the league with a team full of Spaniards & S Americans. We need more English players, players who know the league. And for me Lennon is the most promising young English player around. If he matures as it looks like he should, £15m+ will look cheap.

Tottenham doesn't need to sell, he is very young and he is on a long term contract. We would probably need break the Brittish transfer record if we want to sign him.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Absoluet nonsense. 30 million quid for Lennon is laughable.

Totally agree. If Rafa wants him and he can increase our chances of winning the premiership then money should not be an issue. If it takes 20m then Hicks/Gillett should back Rafa!!
                  Dare we believe

I agree that is laughable but Spurs knows that all the big clubs would be prepared to pay a top price for him. We wouldn't be alone interested in signing him, if Rafa is interested, if he becomes available.

More or less all the big clubs have a lot of money to spend, not just in England, and that will also force the price up even more.

I think that Spurs could get £30m for him if they sell him in the summer.

I disagree, we need some one to finish chances not create them. We create more than enough, we just don't finish enough.

Not even Chelsea would pay that amount for Lennon. Spurs can price him at 30 million all they want but by doing that Lennon won't be going anywhere.

SWP was talked about in a similar way until he went to a big club and look at him now??? Is Lennon a big fish in a small pond?

Lennon great little player needs to work on his crossing more but i would sign him fantastic ability.

I think huge money on Lennon is too much of a risk. I'd rather we tried to unearth players of his kind before then break through and cost 10 times as much.

15-20 millions for a player who haven't even gotten into the England team is ridiculous imo. That kind of money has to be spent on established international players or world class talent who have broken into the national teams.

I also think the English argument is exaggerated and a bit old fashioned. I don't buy it.

Alves is better than him but I wouldn't have anything against Alves on the right and Lennon on the left.

Alves is an attacking right back, not a winger.
