Thanjk you.

True. It's ****ing annoying though because his thread is almost word for word the same as mine yet he's making out it's his own information. Unless he was stood at the bar next to me in a pub in Manchester on Saturday night of course...
I've just read right through the thread on KT and Marcus50Bucks does question him and say the same information was posted on another site by a respected poster (does he mean me?). Richt also pointed out the information was posted elsewhere but he claims it wasn't backed up by a source which is crap because without naming the guy I've said on here it was an ex-employee of AFL (the former architects) who told me and he was drinking with his old colleagues on Friday night. They'd hardly make up the information that their company had been dropped would they?
I was referring to you mate. The guy thinks he's a clever ****er. I'm normally on the ball when it comes to stuff like this.

Cheers, Marcus.
I wouldn't have minded if he'd said he'd read it on another site even though he couldn't name Est1982 or else he'd be banned too. Sorry, I meant he'd ban himself...
There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

No probs
I wouldn't be suprised if it was Dunk that passed on your info.
building started today on the new stadium. gillet said that there would be no changes to capacity and that most changes would not be visible in the main plans such as the underground hospitality suites and other initiatives that would improve the fans experience. they were fairly adament about this at the original press conference and this all seems like a load of bollocks that has been created out of thin air. the echo reported work had begun today and even included pictures. surely this is evidence that the original plans are going ahead. rumours schmoo-mers

Could Gillet not have changed his mind since the original press conference?!
Trousers, what was the name of the architect you met from AFL? I probably know him. The Director involved with the project is called Garry Rowlands who is from St Helens but based in Manchester and I've openly heard him slagging off scousers...
The things you describe above confirm the information I heard on Saturday that the new board at LFC have become disillusioned with both the new stadium design (see my earlier comments which mirror yours) and particularly the architects. The design we have seen for the past few years wouldn't be "the best stadium in the world" but just another identikit ground like many others.
It appears that HKS, an international practice based in Dallas, have bought a firm in London (I'm trying to find out who) just to manage this project.
As soon as I hear anymore I'll pass it on in good faith as always so please don't shoot the messenger...
I think his name was Steve didn't catch his second name had a very bloodshot eye though.
Just to be clear I hate Rick Parry with a ****ing passion and no I don't want to talk about it.
My guess is that Dunk is Sir Bob, Wallet, the informer, private eye etc etc..

If Sir Bob is Dunk you would have thought the fat one would be able to spell his name correctly as he a member on Kontalk. No really he is. Honest :whatever:

It's not inconceivable that they may have changed their minds and underestimated the clubs true potential......plus Hicks seems to be the one with the bigger ideas
yes but the fact that building started today, straight after Gilett and Hicks have gotten unconditional control of the club seems to point that everything is going as originally planned.
Im not ruling it out but it just sounds like it is highly unlikely considering what the club have been through in order to recieve planning permission and grants. Why would they start building something that they dont have planning permission for and that would probably take another year to get planning permission for. also the capacity of 61000 (didnt the club originally apply for 70000?)was agreed upon due to that being the highest capacity that the surrounding infrastructure would support. if they have decided to build better infrastructure than i would assume that many people in the surrounding areas would be affected which would delay the process further (planning permission would be needed for different things in different places)unless of course gilett and Hicks plan to parachute fans into the stadium.
It all sounds a bit far fetched and i am only posting up an opinion based on common sense. People seem to get carried away and conveniently ignore some important points

I remember that original press conference and have watched it again since and Gillett's only reference to the stadium is an emphatic no to groundshare and the fact the we have to start digging in Stanley Park within 60 days (within 60 days of that press conference) to qualify for NWDA and EC grants - he didn't mention anything else.
