It is clear to me that if these guys are as competitive as they sound 61.000 is not going to be enough. And what is more 70.000 without the possibility of an increase is not enough either.

So could it be that they are actually looking at building on a new location?

see i thought that we just had to prove we had the cash rather than start digging.

then again, the 9m we might lose compared to the extra revenue of 9,000 seats a couple of times a month probably covers it quickly.

Maybe to smooth the new application of 70,000 we'll forgoe that grant money (though i thought it was for the area rather than the ground)

9000 extra seats means about 6.5 to 7 mill a season extra.
It's defo worth doing for those numbers.

Lang O Rourke the builders have today withdrawn the design team for the construction of the 60,000 seater in Stanley Park. They have been instructed to re-instate the enabling works as the found it.

Work is too commence on the design of a 90,000 seater stadium. I am currently working indirectly for Lang O Rourke on a contract in Liverpool thats my source.

Like my my source back in November/December last year when i mentioned that Liverpool FC had solded out to the owner of the Haarlem Globetrotters. ( Mr Gillett )

watch this space , scoff if you like , wait and see if this one comes true like the forementioned.

Whoever posted this on the other site must be seriously in the know. First he has a source who told him that LFC 'solded' out to the owner of the Harlem Globetrotters in Nov/Dec (Does Gillet still own them?!). And now he has a nother source linked to the new stadium.

surely it must be a stadium that will be in the region of 70.000 and further expandable to 90 some thousands, cause if they are going to make us a force to be reckoned with and a commercial brand in the world like the mancs we will need a much bigger stadium than 60.000 in the future...

90,000 if thats true, then these new guys want everything big and wont stop at anything to get what they want!!

I think its bold and its brilliant statement that they want to be the biggest and best club in England/World. A 90,000 seater now that impressive if they pull it off cant wait for the Summer, i think Rafa will get whoever he wants in terms of financial backing it will be up[ to the player from then on.
