they actually designed the American Airlines Center home to the Dallas Mavericks..."I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

Is it just me is is a fast one potentially being pulled by our US friends. At the original Press Conference, they said "the shovel had to be in thr ground within the next 60 days to qualify for the grants" or something similar. So maybe that's what's happening. Spade in the ground...1st cash instalment is handed over to us - works stops and we bugger off and build a bigger stadium elsewhere with a nice little leg-up from the NWDA. Not exactly rocket science is it? G & H look like a pair who haven't made big bucks by standing around watching.

How would that alienate the fanbase, if they build us the best stadium in the country elsewhere in Liverpool? It's simple. We need a big ground, and Anfield can't offer us the size of ground we want - so we have to move. Like I said, it's not rocket science. These guys didn't make their money by sitting around and worrying about a few potential whinges from Joe Public.

:scoff: :scoff: :scoff:Originally posted by kopite View PostJust got this from another site, is this true ????????????????
Lang O Rourke the builders have today withdrawn the design team for the construction of the 60,000 seater in Stanley Park. They have been instructed to re-instate the enabling works as the found it.
Work is too commence on the design of a 90,000 seater stadium. I am currently working indirectly for Lang O Rourke on a contract in Liverpool thats my source.
Like my my source back in November/December last year when i mentioned that Liverpool FC had solded out to the owner of the Haarlem Globetrotters. ( Mr Gillett )
watch this space , scoff if you like , wait and see if this one comes true like the forementioned.Originally posted by Gordon Brown

I do, be it on a different scale.Originally posted by Xabi_is_God View PostDoes anyone on this site have a background in planning by any chance?
Housing states and apartment blocks the odd leisure centre etc.
Nothing like football stadiums though. I think there are others who are involved in the same area on the site.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Depends how good the Civil Servant Contracts Manager at the Council is. Like I said G & H Didn't get where they are without reading the small print and interpreting it.Originally posted by Lucky View PostI'm sure we have to build it in stanley park for the grants otherwise they will not apply. We can't really pull a fast one like that without being sued.
we could however make the stadium expandable surely?
