All this German talk, and I've now got Jagerschnitzel on the brain.
Currywurst will do though.
Now you are making me hungry....how about a nice Sauerbraten just like Oma used to make ? Washed down with Dortmunder Union Export !
I personally doubt we will sign Lahm but I do not think its impossible....especially if Bayern fail to win the League this year. If we could have one player from Bayern I would want Schweinsteiger but I think he would be big money and a player they would not release.
Lahm is top quality and Id be delighted if we got him. What with Abidals agent indicating we are interested in him it must clearly show that Rafa is still in the market for a left back. Lets not forget we were also after Evra.
That is of course if Abidal and his agent are not just trying to stoke the fires of another deal...........
i was just about to say that
so does that mean we are clearly still in the market for a left back?
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Well we got rid of Warnock, pick Aurelio over Risse when fit, and played a right back/centre back at left back against Barca over anyone else we had available.
Now you could say that Rafa plays Riise at LW as there is no one else available he trusts in the big games for LW, or you could say that Rafa doesnt rate or trust Riise at the back for big games.
My twist on it is that Rafa doesnt rate Riise at LB and wants another in to compete with Aurelio. Insua is one for the reserves who will hopefully become good enough for the first team. But I guess there are many possibilities as Rafa would say...........
