No point keeping them wallowing in the rezzies as they get nowhere. My only point is that they stay in English footy and not loaned out abroad, as this teaches and prepares them for nothing.
Which raises the issue again, why can't the PL have full feeder teams competing in the lower leagues, it's nonsense to suggest they may get drawn together in a cup and not give it all, and it's easy not to take bets on such matches, betting is not a mandatory requirement of football!

But then again, if the premier league clubs didnt go about stripping clubs of theire best assets for next to nothing there wouldnt be a surplus of players and therefore not a need for B teams..........

I personally dont care about the above in all honesty, but see nothing wrong with the system as it is. If your young players are good enough to play at a higher standard clubs local to the top sides will want to loan them out anyhow. Tranmere and Crewe are just round the corner from LFC and Im sure theyd appreciate some quality players if they were up to scratch.
      Forwards.......

        It works in Spain...

Although Accrington's about 30 miles from Merseyside, many of their players are scousers having been brought in from other local non-league sides by manager John Coleman who is a Liverpool lad himself.

well not many of the players he is loaning out are mature enough to make it or they are players he doesn't rate, i think we'll see an increase in these players getting games for us in the future...

He would have been sold to ACC Stanley if he had no long term possibilities with us.

Guthrie has already played for the first team. We're obviously dealing w/a different calibre of player than the prior crew (e.g. Whitbread etc).
