Theres always Curbishley who was supposedly our second choice

On a serious note, if I was a betting man my money would be heavily on Rafa to stay. I mean what has changed in the time since he was last offered the job? Oh yeah, we've been given a serious cash boost and look to be finally moving forward.

Of course, Rafa wants to be more involved and Im sure his little media outburst will get him his way, so in all honesty I dont see that this is indeed a 50-50 situation.
    Forwards.......

But hes probably right Chris. There will be alot of movers and shakers this summer, alot more than normal IMO. Real and Barca always have cash, Inters success has raised the bar for them, Milan have been treading water this campaign and are just waiting for the summer, whilst Juve players (Del Piero, Buffon, etc) have warned they will leave unless the club spends big to get back challenging at the top. A look at the back pages of some of the English tabloids this week will show they have heeded there words.

No. That is what the Presidents/owners have said.

Berlusconi for example have said that he is prepared to pay £75m for Ronaldinho. Inter is prepared to pay even more for Messi, said by the President.

Rummenige said that it's time for Bayern to spend big in the summer.

Glazer have said that he will back Fergie and Beguristain have said that Barca isn't afraid of anyone in the transfer market. Juve will have £70m to spend in the summer, that's a FACT.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Well on the figures he's just speculating but all he's basically saying is the big clubs will spend big money. Just a normal Summer really then, I dont see why it'll be different to any other. Every Summer Madrid have money, every Summer an Italian team needs rebuilding after theyve done **** etc

Rafa is realistic, he can't expect that sort of money as his team shouldn't need rebuilding, he been building it for 3 years.
He'll be backed, but I can't see him holding the club to ransome, that's not his style.

Christ, you dont hang on to the every work of Berlusconi, Moratti and co do you? Milan last Summer despite not winning the League or CL and selling Sheva didnt spend big, why is it going to change? Glazier said he'll back Fergie big last Summer and they didnt even spend anything net due to the Mikel and Nistelrooy fees.

Juventus are the worst bull****ters about and also say they cant afford Gerrard.

You make it up as you go along with your weird figures.

Juventus announce stunning £70M transfer kitty
                    tribalfooball.com - March 15, 2007

Juventus have announced a massive £70 million will be invested in coach Didier Deschamps' squad.

The Board of Directors voted for an increase in capital that was almost double the anticipated figure, so the side will immediately be able to offer big money contracts for star names this summer.

"Our development plan has as its objective the achievement of levels of sporting excellence tied to the quality of the squad and its technical staff," explained a statement in a Press conference.

"This is to guarantee competitiveness in the top flight and at international level, reinforcing every area of the squad and assuring stability within the staff."

Alessandro Del Piero acted as spokesman for the team. "We wish to thank the family', as it was an important gesture for those of us who decided to stay on during this difficult year."
