World Class Talent Needed..

exactly world class players are players who deliver in the big games against top opposition on a regular basis. not ****s that are scoring against ****e oppostion! players like kaka, ronaldo(ac), zidane, ronaldinho, carragher, nesta, cannavaro, scholes these are/were world class players. ronaldo(scum) lampard, beckham, rooney, ferdinand, are not they have been overhyped and played on their celebrity but when the big crunch games come round they are found wanting and exposed.

These guys are easily world class or almost world class IMO, they would get in most teams in Europe, specially Ronaldo. Lampard is maybe not versatile but what he does he does exceptionally well, just look at his stats over the past couple of seasons.

worldclass is bandied about too much and too easily. But I do agree with your sentiments that we need some top notch talent.
If I had to choose say 3 names:

1. Berbatov
2. Lennon
3. Eto'o.

Sure he's unproven in the Premiership but sometimes you have to take a gamble, he's a proven goalscorer and no matter what league he played in i think he'd score goals. You can guarantee that Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal will be in the market for a top goalscorer this summer and he'll be on every one of their lists

Chelsea forward 2 has a combined value of 55million,scums is 33 million and ours is 17/18 million.

i dont think Chelsea will be, not convinced Arsenal will buy a 20mill forward depends on Henry/Baptista. Leaving us to battle with the scum.....they can have torres we will have villa easy.

but in the big games they go missing. ronaldo has not scored against any of the big teams this year and has been quiet when he has played against them! he has not scored in the champions league. lampard frequently goes missing against good sides and his form for england is abysmal! im not saying rooney and ronaldo won't be world class but at the minute they aren't and still have a lot to do imo!

i don't think you can say they haven't done it internationally gerrard got 3 goals at the world cup and was one of the better players for england and henry got to a world cup final, and has european and world cup medals in his pocket!

True, I wouldn't have called Ronaldo world class last season, he seemed to mature during the World Cup and stayed on his feet more and uses the ball earlier.

Lennon could improve to become world class but at the moment he's mediocre IMO.
