but in the big games they go missing. ronaldo has not scored against any of the big teams this year and has been quiet when he has played against them! he has not scored in the champions league. lampard frequently goes missing against good sides and his form for england is abysmal! im not saying rooney and ronaldo won't be world class but at the minute they aren't and still have a lot to do imo!

So who do you count as world class then? Ronaldinho hardly fulfilles that criteria then and Gerrards and Henrys form internationally is also poor. Big name players get big name treatment from big name defenders in big games. Maybe if Benitez was managing Ronaldo and Rooney they wouldn´t go missing in big games, maybe Fergie is just limited when it come to tactics in Europe which comes down to their form. IMO Ronaldo is world class, he is quick, strong, has a good cross and shot and is constantly improving. Rooney is getting there and Lampard is there or there abouts IMO, Liverpool fans are harsh on Lamps, though he is a prick.

the reason i pick Lennon is because he is proven in the Premier League. Its something i Think Alves may struggle with.

i dont think Chelsea will be, not convinced Arsenal will buy a 20mill forward depends on Henry/Baptista. Leaving us to battle with the scum.....they can have torres we will have villa easy.

Chelsea have already been in contact with Valencia about Villa so i reckon they'll be involved somewhere along the line, it's not like Shevchenko's set the Premiership alight yet is it, Baptista is only on loan at Arsenal and i think he'll be on his way back to Madrid at the end of the season so they'll be in the market for a striker, might only be a backup to Henry & Adebayor though

eto'o didn´t score against us did he, did he score against chelsea? ronaldo at his peak was probably the greatest goalscorer in the game, does kaka regularly come up with the goods, I´ve only seen him do that once in a big game, our first half collapse against AC. Villa seems to be world class also but has he produced with Spain though yet? Klose does well with Germany and in the bundesliga but how has he fared against top clubs though?

Hopefully, Chelsea will be busy getting a new manager sorted and while their eye is off the ball, we can hoover up the talent.

so your questioning whether eto'o is world class i seem to remember him scoring in a champos league final and against chelsea last year to be fair he wasn't totally fit against us! villa scored 3 goals at the world cup and always plays well against the big teams in spain. and kaka has been milans best player this year he is their top scorer and he got them through a champions league games last week with a stunning goal!
