why is stevie talking exclusively to the NOW?

they've got an exclusive interview with him tomorrow. why he turned down the chavs, his love of LFC and the fans and his hopes for the new season.

should he be talking to them or is it no big deal?

If we start worrying about players linking up with the NOW then where next? Sky? It would get out of hand. I'm not concerned in the slightest and I'm sure any sane individual holds similar views. Footballers have never been blessed with any great foresight or common sense so allowances have to be made.

i'm not trying to start a witch hunt the only reason i asked was because of the advert i just saw on T.V. plugging their stevie exclusive. i just thought i'd ask for people views.

it doesn't bother me because i'm sure the club would have advised him against it if they thought it would cause offence.

It's one of those weird things. They're both owned by the Murdoch group, as is Sky and Fox etc. Do you avoid them all?

TBh I would just avoid the NotW cos it is absolute ****e as a newspaper.

NOTW is nothing to do with The S*n. The Sunday version of The S*n is The People (formerly The Sunday People). NOTW goes way back to 1843, whereas The S*n was founded in 1969.

no i don't avoid sky, i have it installed at home. as i said before the only reason i asked was because of the links between both newspapers.it's a sensitive issue for obvious reasons and i just wondered if the news of the world was held in the same regard as that other paper.

is right. It's a rag, but it's not connected to *that* rag.

Actually just chedked on wikipedia - I was wrong, it's the sunday version of the s*n:
                            quote:
The News of the World is a British tabloid newspaper published every Sunday. It is published by News Group Newspapers of News International, itself a subsidiary of Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation and can be considered to be the Sunday version of The Sun.
