Should have been made England manager. He uses what he has got and Bolton have got better and better under him. His sides usually do quite well to against the top sides. Tatically aware and very innovative.

If Rafa went its about time we got a top British coach in again.

Allardyce applied last time for the job and was dismissed out of hand. Didnt even get an interview. You'll notice that since Rafa turned up, he doesnt have a nice word for us. If he didnt get the job then, he wont get the job now.

Everton fans maybe, but Stanley Park wasnt a place for the faint of heart.

Point taken, but I didnt think he'd get the job, I'm only saying that Id like him to get the job. Word is that if England screw up against Israel Mclaren will get the sack as his position would be untenable. If this happens I hope they give Allardyce the job - and he will prove to people that he is an excellent manager. Do you really think Sammy Lee would work with some toss pot of a manager? I think not.

The bortherhood of scousers? whats the story with them?
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

            * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Well if he goes to England he wont be any better than whats there now. England will never improve so long as you have a manager who lets the tabloids pick his team. Fat headed Sam wont be any different.

I'll let someone else comment on Sammy Lee. cough cough Houllier cough cough bark

I dont like Mclaren but if the tabloids picked his team Beckham would have been back a few games ago. Besides I believe Allardyce to be a strong willed manager who players enjoy playing for. He is also pretty innovative and forward thinking with regards to the set up and coaching methods at Bolton.

Bolton havent gone on, but I believe hes took them as far as he could go. Theyd plummet like a lemming if he ever left. They are a tiny club and yet challenge for a European place, not bad. And the cash he spends is cash earnt from the success he brings.

Regarding the Ged and Sammy Lee bit???? Im sorry mate, I may be being thick but I dont get you?

Oh don't be so dramatic. I'd kill him before he set foot in Anfield.

I must be big Sams only supporter! Id rather have him as England manger to be honest, but he knows the game in England pretty well.

I think a successfull stint as England manager would be needed before he took on a top 4 club TBH. He wouldnt attract many top class players at the moment would he?

Though he has dragged a few good players to a small club like Bolton!

He's perfect for Bolton. Fat, classless and ugly.*

                        *Apologies to anyone from Bolton.

Arsenal as his style of play is similar to theirs.

I cant see it. I dont think a period with England does anyone any favours. You could argue that Hoddle, Keegan, Vegitables and Sven all did well with England, qualified for tournaments and did ok, yet they wouldnt be employed by a top 4 club. The only way Fat Sam would get to manage a top 4 club would be if his team broke into the top 4 or at least challenged for honours.

Still no bites? Okay so I was joking.

None of the top 4 would take him on, which is why I said hed have to become England manager to prove himself. Thats what I meant anyway!

Anyhow if Allardyce came to LFC and had a couple of good seasons England would want him anyway, and I know hed take the England job without a moments thought.
