Sissoko is a great destroyer and all that, but he's a million miles away from Stevie G as a player. Imagine being played out of position to acommodate a player far inferior to yourself against ****e like Villa. It's different against Barca I accept, but we weren't chasing the game there so there was a use for Sissoko. Today he was absolutely useless. Rafa sends the wrong message by picking Sissoko with Gerrard wide. It shows too much respect to ****e sides like Villa, Bolton etc, etc. We're better than these teams. Play Stevie in the middle and let him dominate.

Rafa gave away the first half. Why on earth he decided to play with Momo and Mascherano in the middle I don't know?

to be fair we weren't like houllier today. ged was everyone parked on their own penalty area and michael owen getting launched to. we did pass it today, just passed it without tempo and to nowhere dangerous.

he works hard but being honest, he looks like a guy in the twilight of his career rather than someone at the peak of it. it sometimes feels like we're playing a very committed 38 year old.
