That's exactly what he should have done

No - he is the most over-rated CM in the history of the club.

Either he develops into a holding midfielder (fat chance) or we can't use him.

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

I can't see why he is not being told to do this already.

Surely it is obvious that he should be told to break up play between our penalty area and the centre circle, and that's it.

Give a short pass off to another red shirt after you get the ball.

We should sell Sissoko to Everton. Maybe Moyes is still interested?

He's been poor since he's come back after injury. Ive been getting more and more frustrated wth him in the last few games.

Stevie has to play in the middle its obvious from his performances since Momo has come back into the team

Momo has been poor since the game at the Nou Camp. Just a bad trot. At the start of the season I thought his technique was improving, but it seems to have deserted him at the moment. If we had an outstanding Ronaldo/Robbenesque winger then it wouldn't matter so much because he would do the ugly side and they would use our possession to do something genius. IMO his recent performances have stood out partly due to the fact there has been little else to talk about in games where we have been temporarily bereft of flair and any sort of finishing ability.

What concerns me is that in the 2 yrs almost, that he's been with us, he hasnt improved one iota on the basics, his passing, control, and shooting are as woeful now as they were the day he signed.
People may point to how young he is, but when youre that age and training and playing with top quality players every day then improvement of the basic skills should be immediately noticeable.
With squad rotation these days, its all about horses for courses and Sissoko has his role when we dont expect to have a lot of possession and need to break up opponents play.
It just shows the natural caution that Rafa has, even against teams we should be expecting to beat, that Sissoko plays as often as he does.

All of his good work comes when we don't have the ball. In games where we will have the lion's share of possession, he shouldn't play.
how often does that happen though?? We have the majority in possesion 90% of the time.

He is good at breaking up the play but he destroys that when he gives away the ball a few seconds later and then we must start chasing the ball again.

He really hasn't improved since last season. If Rafa can replace him with a more creative player then I would sell him.

I love his fighting spirit but the team comes first.

When he first came we saw all the good things about him…. And whilst we noticed his poor touch and distribution… we all assumed that he would improve with age and experience and we would have a great player on our hands…..

He hasn’t improved his distribution and touch at all……. Often when he gets the ball he doesn’t look like he knows what to do….. He just - "looks all over the place"

Raffa is always going on about game intelligence etc….. Momo just doesn’t have it

I’d sell for £7-8M and replace him with the Mascherano who is a much more intelligent player and does the same job without running around disrupting our flow so much.

Momo is worth more than that.

I would sell him though, for £12m or thereabouts.

I wont go as far as to say you are wrong … but outside of Liverpool…. I think people would laugh at £12M…. £8-9M would be great!

Chelsea would pay £12-15M IF they wanted him

Still a player is worth as much as somebody is willing to pay…. And you might be right with £12M

You only have to take a look at the eurosport stats to see what is wrong!

Alonso & Sissoko played almost the same amount of passes and only 2 of Alonso’s were wayward!

Given the amount of time each player spent on the pitch that is a pretty damning statistic! Also 80% of Alonso’s passes were advancing…. “All” Momo’s passes went either sideways or backwards……. Just the way the game went whilst he was on the pitch!

it wasnt his best game....it was probably one of our worst games for the season TBH.

But Momo is an integral player for us.

We really need more attacking wingbacks, then play 3 across the middle, plus 2 up front. That allows Momo, Alonso and Gerrard to play central, and have the width supplied through the wingbacks.
