But Brendan, don't you get it? The NOTW didn't print the lies about the LFC fans, only the S*n did. To boycott everything remotely associated with the people involved takes the focus off the S*n.
The boycott should be of the S*n as it keeps the message clear and accurate and makes the point without appearing bitter and twisted.

He did not do an exclusive interview for the NOTW and he did not write it exclusively for the NOTW. In fact, the deal was probably done by his agent, probably on the strict instructions to avoid the S*n.

The agent organises the deal not Gerrard. I would imagine SDteve had a clause in the contract saying not to sell it to the S*n though. Owen had the blessing of the HJC and HFSG to do his weekly column in the NOYW so I would think Steve was the same. Plus he will probably have family members in those 2 groups as he lost a cousin in the tragedy.

If the families and the HJC have no problem with it then it's no one elses business.

Seriously though - the NOTW is the lowest of all the Sunday tabloids! I hate that rag with a passion - the scourge of this country. This sentiment has little to do with it's sister paper.

It was serialised in the Mail yesterday too, I'm sure the publishers have opened the memoirs to all and sundry (maybe even the S*n, who knows)

I don't read the NOTW, not for some personal crusade, simply due to the fact that its ****.

Surely there is a dent in the market for the sun being sold in Liverpool. Wasn't there a programme made not so long ago about the Sun's editor trying to persuade the people of Liverpool and relatives of the victims of Hillsborough to stop boycotting the paper? And in return, the sun would pay for leagal fee's to try and find out what exactly happened?
Don't remember what the outcome was, but in answer to your question, I did buy the sun now and again but havn't done so in over a couple of years.

Hardly committed, seeing as it backed Thatcher all through her era and even claimed that it was the Sun Wot Won It. It only backed Labour when Blair became leader and demonstrated that he'd be a much more effective Tory leader than the one they had.
