Joe Cole's injured and there'll be no Makelele either.
They'll just have Ballack and Shevchenko to come into the side.
ballack and chavchenko don't concern me one little bit. maybe if they had a couple of months to settle in I would be concerned but this is a whole new experince for them. i can't see tham being up to speed tomorrow.
hopefully that statement doesn't come back to haunt me.lol
I'm working in a Prime Time in Chelsea during the friggin match, I live in Chelsea, with a clueless fairweather Chav fan, and even I want to win the SU game more than the Community Shield!
I don't think anyone really doesn't care. It's just that in the grand scheme of things what counts is the league.
I want us to win every game but in the hypothetical universe in which we could only win one of the next two games it would be the one against Sheffield United.
It would be an enormous boost to beat Chelsea and preferable score a couple of goals and see an improvement defensively, but I think you have to view it as a friendly and use is to get our team ready for the new season.

"In fact I’m going to make a promise which will be welcomed by many. If there’s no finance secured by the opening day of the season, I’m going to hang up my keyboard and close KOPTALK down."

Couldn't have written better myself...

Had it been Utd, Aresnal, I would not have been that bothered about losing.
BUT its Chelsea. We need to start well to keep up and beating them will give us an advantage....maybe only a small one but its a start. Damaging them early on enhances our chance of getting 19.
"What's your favourite Beatles album then?"
"I think I'd have to say....Best of the Beatles"
