'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

To be fair though Hicks and Gillett would probably know nothing about what has been happening at the club in the past and need Parry to be their guide and to help them integrate into English football in their new roles as investors and owners.

I'm sure in time though they will judge Parry on how well he does for the club.

Parry got them, and other good offers for the club.
As the club needed the extra money the stadium generated as soon as possible he might not had a choice. With the take-over the club can afford to wait a bit longer to get the stadium right.

We can`t really know if he did a good job or not the last few years, as we don`t know what his tasks and limitations were.

stadium looks immense but it has nothing to do with either Hicks or Gillett as they have no association with the Dallas Cowboys

just read a bit of a/the interview on the news feed and i think it makes a few things clear about hicks:

you can't but admire the kind of "here we come mother****ers" underlying the stuff he says about making the new stadium the best in the world and how we ARE going to compete at the top - woohoo!!!

there's a bit of angling going on when he says about having rafa there as the long term overseer of thi return to the top. i'd love to know the details of the contact there's been between rafa and hicks/gilette because there's no way they're ignoring or are unaware of real madrid' supposed interests.

A good interview from Hicks liked the way he told the reporter at the end:

"I never called Liverpool a franchise...."

It sounds as if Tom has been reading our posts.

I liked that he said that the new stadium will be instantly recognizable as the Liverpool stadium. Hope they deliver on that.
