Hernan Crespo? Is he the answer?

You guys are loons. Crespo is a brilliant striker. He's EXACTLY what we need.

Spot on. Those that don't rate Crespo probably think that Bellamy is top quality!

Crespo is obviously a top notch player, you don't play for the clubs he has & score the goals he has if you're not top drawer. However, he didn't really settle at Chelsea, much in the way Shevchenko hasn't. This proves how hard it is to buy the correct players from abroad. Both Shevchenko & Crespo are out of the very top drawer but neither set the world alight at Chelsea. Thats why people expecting us to challenge for the title next season need a reality check in my view. Firstly Rafa has to get the top quality players in, then they have to adapt to English footy. Neither Shevchenko or Crespo managed that in their first season, Crespo left & Shevchenko could easily follow suit.

It doesn't follow that class players always do the business. People need to bear this in mind come the summer.

For all Shevchenko has been slated this season he's still been better than all our strikers...13 goals. 4 in the last 9 games. So he's doing much better. Forma nd class and all that. Crespo would be the same. Crespo and Bellamy in the same sentence...f**k me.

Crouch has got 13 goals too. Seemingly been on 13 for ages too as he's barely played recently.

Erm, what? That's hardly the point. Crespo wanted out of Chelsea because he hated England. Why would he want to sign for us?
