He doesnt specify 20 league goals, he says 20 league goals, and then says that if we want to win the league, Owen could make a difference with his goals. No sign of him specifically saying 20 league goals, i think you're making 5 from 2+2

Not that it specifically matters mind, the general point is true - that Owen scores goals. Shrugging off the suggestion based on the fact that he's been ONE short of 20 in the league before, is a bit pedantic IMO.

Maybe it takes you to go away just to realise where you really belong. Dont get me wrong i wasnt happy when he left i felt like he saw himself as bigger then the club and didnt give Rafa the respect and time he deserved, you could saw that Stevie was in the same situation but his heart was in Liverpool and no where else maybe thats the difference.

Owen i would say goes to bed every night wishing he was still at Liverpool and also when he's away with England he misses the craic Stevie and Carra.

I´m sure he wants to come back.

Mate, he'd offer goals. We dont have an out and out goalscorer and we badly need one. I cant see how he fails to fit the bill.

We could do better with the new money coming in to the club. For £5,000,000 I'd possibly see signing Owen as a good bit of business but not for the money that he would cost. For that sort of money we could do alot better.

agreed - like most of his career until last 2 years.

i'm not suggesting we rely on him like we used to - just he'd be a good addition as one of four top class strikers. less of a liability than Bellamy for instance
