It's rather churlish to dismiss his international scoring record which is extremely impressive; especially when you consider he plays for a Northern Ireland team that once went 16 games without scoring.
He is certainly not consistent enough to play for Liverpool but that record compares very favourably to others:

Michael Owen - 80 (36)
Wayne Rooney - 38 (12)
Robbie Folwer - 26 (7)
Kenny Miller - 29 (9)
Milan Baros - 52 (30)

They are, which means Baros’ record is all the more impressive than Healy’s. Of course, it means that much of their football has been played in major Championships and Baros has scored a good few goals at that level.
