It's only 4 years since I went to watch Bury and he couldn't get in the team. Granted, he was about 12 at the time but still, let Everton snap him up so they can complete the holy trinity of ****, overrated English forwards.

People are only having a go at him so much because he is a self confessed Everton fan. If he supported Liverpool, or even played for us then the majority wouldn't have a problem with it. For example, if Crouchy had done the exact same thing what would you all be saying?
I just laughed when it happened. It was ****ing funny. Now lighten up you stuffy gits

Joking aside (highly unusual for me as it is) we need a player who is greedy and will follow in shots like Nugent did. However, I'm not so sure the lad has the class to step up to the very top level and will probably end up at a small club like Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan or Everton...
There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

Absolutely ridiculous. I can only assume the people giving him grief for this haven't played much, if any football in their lives.
Or just hate Evertonians! Which is the more likely and simpler explanation.

I distinctly remember (on a few occasions running with a ball as it crossed the line - sheparding it if you will).

I wouldn't vilify him, but it's bad form and you can be guaranteed he'll be getting flack for it in the dressing room. Not punch ups, probably just light-hearted banter.

Don't judge EVERYONE by the actions you'd do yourself.

                      Have a word.

Completely bizarre post, notably the opening paragraph.

There'll be light-hearted banter about it? In a football dressing room? Never!

It isn't "bad form". It's called being a striker.

There's never, in a million years, anyway that Robbie Fowler wouldnt have done that.

Nugent had a defender at his shoulder as he started that run (admittedly he dropped off, but he wasnt looking behind him to know), had he cleared whilst Nugent watched it, the poor lad would be pilloried.

                        Strikers goal, end of.

                            Disagree.

There wasn't a paragraph in that post.

There was a bit about him on North West Tonight and they went to his old school...Cardinal Heenan (same as Stevie G's) and asked his PE teacher what he was like as a pupil. The teacher winced and said "honestly? He was hard work".

                              In other words...he was a c*nt!!!!!!!!
