If Rafa sells Bellamy in the summer and keeps Crouch and Kuyt, I'd be expecting that 'edge of your seat' signing Parry has been promising for years.

To be honest, I'd be gobsmacked if Bellamy leaves. He's been great since the court case finished.

How quickly things change in football. Not so long ago Crouch was most people's first choice to be out the door.

I like Crouch. When he plays like he did today he's brilliant. But on the other hand when he misses a hatful of chances and we loose games that we dominated because didn't convert the chances he had then he's the most frustrating player in the world!

IMO Fowler is finished. Bellamy deserves another season, as does Kuyt. I'd like us to be able to keep hold of Crouch and sign one Worldbeater!

The fact that we've got Veronin doesn't automatically mean we have to sell one of the three, Roffa might want five strikers to choose from. He does like to chop and change a bit doesn't he, and five srikers would give us more 'posibilities'!
No, no, no.........I'm only scary 'cause I'm hairy

Big year for me 2008, hope it all goes well for me, oh, and you lot too!

We have 3 great support strikers, we only 1 need top striker to augment them, which will give every option in the book near enough.

Which is why the Veronin signing is baffling to say the least, unless another of Rafa's striker signings is already out of the door, which would be an admission he got something wrong, however, we don't see what goes on in training and don't get to hear most of what happens off the pitch.

If that was true and as we technically signed Voronin in January, does that mean that Rafa had made his decision to end Bellamy’s LFC career after six months or so?

Dunno what you mean by 'this' but i think it's obvious that Fowler's days are numbered.

I think Bellamy would've stayed were it not for his idiocy in Portugal. Rafa will use him where he needs to for the remainder of this season, but that incident, IMO, has ended his LFC career.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Fowler stay as emergency cover, but also just as likely he will leave.
IMO, if any of Bellamy, Crouch or Kuyt were to be sold, we'd need to buy TWO other strikers (not including Voronin in this).

For argument's sake, if Bellamy is sold, then a strike force of Kuyt, Crouch, Voronin and A.N.Other wouldnt be enough for me.

If Bellamy goes, we need a quick-as-lightening replacement AND an out and out poacher/finisher.

Or we need someone who ticks all the boxes which makes the concept of Bellamy leaving after a season in which he's done well all the more strange.

I'd agree fully, were it not for the Portugal incident. Bellamy burnt his bridges there, IMO, when he was already walking a thin line due to his reputation, the court case etc, where Rafa was concerned.

Portugal and the golf club was the last straw for Rafa IMO and i think the summer will see this ring true.

As for someone who ticks all the boxes, i'd still want two brought in.

If you get two, then the pacy fecker will cause all kinds of havoc, getting wide and creating chances. If he can finish too, all the better, but he'll also create due to being so quick, which means we'll want someone prowling in the box, ready to convert whatever is created.

Agree. if we were to keep Kuyt and Crouch, we wouldn't need Voronin. If we keep Crouch, we still need 2 out and out goalscorers in addition to Kuyt and Crouch imho.

I don't know mate - Bellamy started against Barcelona straight after the incident and was first choice to play against ManUre at Anfield.

Rafa also knew about the court case before he was signed and was subsequently found not guilty.

Still, it'll be interesting to see how Rafa views things in the summer though.

Perhaps Bellamy will be on his way with Pongolle coming back to provide the pace required in attack.

Re the court case - obviously Rafa knew and Bellamy was found not guilty, but i just meant that guilty or not, he seems to find himself in these situations a bit too often - or at least, he's seen as someone who does. And i think that reputation in itself would've meant Rafa saw the signing of Bellamy as a last chance for the lad.

I know he used him for Barca and Man Utd, but i think that's just Rafa doing what he thinks is best for the rest of the season, using Bellamy where he sees fit and acting for the sake of the team - and then, come June, he'll have served his purpose and be shipped out. All IMO of course. We'll see what happens.

The fact that Rafa is likely to have big money to spend on a striker makes Bellamy even more vulnerable, i think.

To be fair we were having the exact same deabte on here about Crouch's future 3 month ago. If they both go, I won't lose any sleep. (Unless we bring FSP and ALT and Heskey back that is!)
