Sorry Wankstand, but you picked a very poor subject to try and wind people up. You can tell by the general good natured replies that we were fairly comfortable with Liverpool's performance today and it bodes well for the coming season. If there had been more tension to the match I am sure you would have received far more unsavoury replies.

      Im sorry but its true.
in all fairness, Its Chelsea's to lose this year. All the chasing pack know they HAVE to win game for game that Chelsea win.

Chelsea never look like dropping points in the league.

And i have to say that sissoko was brilliant today, but i wouldn't swap him for makalele in our team.

I wouldn't rely on pennant for the whole season, and you cant trust garcia there either.

So gonzalez is gonna magically take the prem by storm after 5 or 6 good games for a relegation threatened spanish team?

You better hope kewell stays fit and not fat.

I thought a Chelsea fan, of all people, would appreciate the qualities a fat man can bring to the squad.

exactly, man utd have the know-how as do arsenal to win the premiership.

Why on earth would liverpool think they can go the distance against us three?

Especially looking at how many games we have lost in the league in two years. Even counting the games after it was wrapped up last season.

Should we start as well as Chelsea, it should make for interesting football so dont get too cocky yet. I think LFC are not as far from Chelsea as you say.

well why else would you lot be saying you have a chance?

you finished third last season, fifth before that. Arsenal had a blip last year.

What makes you think you can even keep third place let alone move about man utd and the champions for two years in a row?

we have addressed certain issues in the team and I personally think we will be more dangerous away from home

BUT I still believe its Chelsea's to lose

Chelsea will do well if Terry and Lampard stay fit. However, Cech, Cole, Ballack, Makalele are injured and Gallas in dispute. Duff has gone and Wright-Philips yet to find any form. If anything happens to Terry and Lampard in the long-term, or even Shevchenko, then Chelsea may struggle to maintain top spot. Liverpool need another goalscoring striker, but if we get that then we're a match for anyone. We have the potential to have the most balanced and quickest midfield in the country, assuming Gonzalez settles quickly.

If we get Kuyt, we have a real chance of the title for the first time in a long, long time.

It cant be anyones to lose before the season has even started. We are all on zero points.

All i am saying is i cant see these strengthenings as being very good...

Pennant?, that little no-necked ****ing taff up front?

So a drink driver and a welsh man are gonna get you the prem?
