No offence taken, mate. I hope that it isn't as bad as we all think and he makes a succesful recovery, however long it takes. I was merely speculating on how bad it could be.

Pretty much the same time out of football though as it will require surgery and Long Rehabilitation afterwards. Doesnt need to be career ending as suggested on here, but he needs to be handled properly now

What did digger have, a snap or was his achillies ruptured?

He's more of an on-his-way player if you ask me likes.

Liverpool defender-cum-midfielder Fabio Aurelio has ruptured his Achilles tendon, it emerged after the 3-0 Champions League win over PSV.

Aurelio pulled up in agony after catching his studs in the turf and was stretchered off in agony after 73 minutes.

His right Achilles seemed to be the problem and it was confirmed after the match that he will miss the rest of the season - and a significant past of the next campaign - with the injury.

The left-sided Brazil player, 27, had recently begun to impress for the Reds and provided two assists in the 4-1 thrashing of Arsenal the previous weekend. Aurelio was signed from Valencia in the summer and missed a large part of the 2003/4 season with a broken leg.

It very seldom snaps off completely, especially in a young fit adult. Most of the time it bursts open lengthwise. I'd presume his was also ruptured.

But as someone mentioned he wasnt managed very well afterwards. That was the problem in his case

He wasnt clutching his heel/lower leg as one would expect with an achilles rupture. He was clutching his calf muscle. I thought he'd torn a calf muscle, which will heal much faster. So I agree, Let's be positive

FLMAO, surely you're on a windup buddy. Kewell will take ages to get into the swing of things.

To be honest, Zenden's never impressed me anyway. He was decent for Boro for a bit as an AM, which made me slightly revise my opinion that he was complete ****e, but having seen more of him recently, I hold my hands up and admit I was wrong

as soon as i saw the replay i thought he had done his achilles.....watch the back of his leg, it wobbles as he takes his foot of the ground.

                                nasty injury.
