PSV were clearly below par but, as with Arsenal on Saturday, I'm sick of people belittling our performance by going on about how **** the opposition were. It's not just a ****ing coincidence. One of the hallmarks of a Benitez team is making the opposition play poorly. Remember the CL encounters against Valencia?

    It's no coincidence.

A great performance. Solid, disciplined, patient and clinical.

We did boss the game. We were always on top. We took our chances. We did a job. We didn't have to move out of third gear, really. We were great against the arse on Saturday. I don't want to take any credit away from anyone, but Watford would have given us more problems than that lot.

Great Liverpool sides of the past did that, week in, week out to almost everyone we met. I just don't want anyone to get carried away. We're almost as good as in the semis already (yes, I'm that confident - but then again I put a fortune on us beating Wimbledon in the FA cup final.......... and I don't bet) but there's not a cat in hell's chance that we'll get a game that easy.

I'm getting excited about it though....

If you expect champagne football away from home in a European Cup quarter-final then you're sadly mistaken mate. Never gonna happen, no matter who you are.

And we actually played some very, very tidy stuff in the 2nd half.

3-0 away in the CL is an outstanding result, irrespective of the opposition. PSV are no mugs but without Alex & Kone (sp) they were weakened. However, none of that matters, we played very well tonight and whilst the other teams battle to get to the last 4 we are already there

I am sure the valencia forums said similar when thy destroyed us. we made them play so poor. yes we were not great but we never let them settle and we were what we are all are crying out for clinical

I don't think we were particularly good and never really got out of 3rd gear, which shows just how comfortable we were......so although we did not play too well, it was an excellent performance
PSV were awful, and I think the lads and Rafa knew it would be an emphatic win without needing to do anything special.

OSV may have been missing a couple of their 'better' players, but some of our lads never turned up tonight (Xabi and Aurellio were both awful for the first hour).
At the end of the day...are any of us bovvered?

I'd be interested to see how PSV tackle the away leg.

It was as if tonight once the away goal went in, plan A went out the window, and.., there was no plan B. LMAO after watching the pre game build up on ITV 4(?).

Still, I'd be still interested in how they deal with the Anfield gig.

I reakon it could be a good end to end game.

                              We`ve played ****e before and drew 0-0.
therefore we played well tonight.Playing badly does not net you 3 goals, next question, preferably sensible.

When we beat PSV its cos they played poor and were missing Alex and Kone...

When we beat Arsenal its cos they played poor and were missing Henry.....

When we beat Barcelona its cos they played poor, were in turmoil and were missing Eto'o........

When we beat Chelsea its cos they played poor and were missing Terry........

**** me lads, do our lot ever play well? You'd think not by listening to some of the doom merchants who populate the net. 3-0 away is a great score whoever you play in football. But to be in the CL QF, the peak of world football according to Shaggy and a few others, and to play in front of a vibrant stadium and to completely outplay the opposition leaving them in complete disarray, and win 3 ****ing nil is absoloutley ****ing outstanding.

Credit where credits due lads. We won 3-0 and deserved to. Take a bow mighty red men.

                                Forwards.......
